Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering

As part of a major faculty recruitment effort in the College of Engineering at Temple University, the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering is searching for outstanding individuals to join the department as tenure-track faculty. The College is planning to expand its educational and research activities in the area of Environmental Engineering, and is looking for a leader who can assist the College to meet its goals. Individuals are being sought with expertise in the areas of Environmental Assessment and Pollution Control. Other areas within the field will also be considered according to the strength of the candidate

The appointment will be at senior level appropriate to experience. Successful candidates are expected to have a Ph.D. degree in Environmental Engineering, or a related field, and to have and be able to continue develop significant research programs and to provide effective instruction at both undergraduate and graduate levels in environmental engineering. Applicants for Associate Professor or Full Professor must have a substantial publication record and an externally supported research program. We especially encourage applications from candidates whose research is interdisciplinary in nature. Salaries for new faculty are highly competitive and resources have been allocated for start-up funding.

The College of Engineering offers Bachelors, Masters, and Ph.D. degrees in three Department of Mechanical, Electrical and Computer, and Civil and Environmental Engineering.
