Department Chair Statement
Welcome to the Temple University Department of Electrical and Computer
Engineering Web page. We are very proud of both our student and faculty
achievements and invite you to browse this site to view some of the achievements
that have recently occurred within the department. Faculty research
includes, but is not limited to, intelligent tutoring systems, system
on chip design, speech quality measurement, fault tolerant networks just
to name a
few.
Our students and faculty have appeared in many forms of news media from
the Philadelphia Inquirer, the New York Times to the National Nightly
News of ABC. Our accredited undergraduate curriculum in electrical engineering
is very strong as evidenced by the excellent jobs are graduates are
placed into. In addition, the department offers a new undergraduate computer
engineering option.
At the graduate level we offer M.S., Ph.D. and six certificate programs
in focus areas. Our graduate courses are offered at the Fort Washington
campus and are easily accessible and located just minutes from the Fort
Washington exit of the Pennsylvania Turnpike and the graduate courses
are
offered in the evenings. If you have any questions please don't hesitate
to ask and we can correspond either through email, voicemail or regular
mail.
Thank you for visiting our web site.
Sincerely,
Dr. John J. Helferty Chairman of Electrical and Computer Engineering
